FNP__TEXAS TO BE RENAMED

(Faux News Press)_WASHINGTON, D.C._  Sources close to the President of the United States of America confirm that “W’s” quiet diplomacy with the Republic of Texas and the Republic of Mexico has borne fruit. The Texas legislators have agreed to a measure which renames the State of Texas. It will be added surreptiously to a bill authorizing the state to fund for another two years the Aid To Desperately Ill Children program.

So, what will be the new name? The new name of Texas will be “Mexas.” The republican form of government will be retained for the next five years. After the five year period expires, the legislators may renew the republican form of government, opt for joining the PanAmerican Oilogarchy, or opt for joining the Global Oilogarchy. As one key legislator is quoted by a usually reliable Texas source, as saying: “We’re too big now for the U.S.A. Like Mexifornia, we have to grow into what we are.”

Intially, the citizens of Texas will not even be aware of the change. The “Lone Star State” will become the hardly noticeable “Lone Star of David State.” The University of Texas will simply experience an expansion of the wings of the “T” outward and downward, initially appearing to be “longhorns” with the “hook ‘em, ‘horns” symbol cast downward. College students will imagine that these are stylized and will heatedly defend them. Alumni and alumna will join in the defense. Soon, all “Mexas” will be defending the change.

“When that happens,” said this key legislator, “Bubba has spoken.”
